Shadows of Absalom
Rough area in The Docks where most of the foreign ships put in, and where many longshoremen, stevedores, wharfies, and barrell jockeys ply their trade, along with pick-pockets, prostitutes, low-quality food kiosks, pimps, thieves, gamblers, mummers, moneychangers, drug pushers, and many a dishonest wretch as you'll ever hope to find, and even a few honest ones too. The largest ships that put in at Absalom dock at the Main Pier, where the huge crane known as The Beast is located. There are many dive bars, taverns, and bunk inns (usually just a few coppers for a smelly hammock), but generally speaking the closer to the Main Pier they are the lower quality the offering. A number of gangs run the Main Pier, although at night the Wharf Rats are the main problem in the area.
